Clinton Sinclair is an active law enforcement officer with 14 years of experience with his agency. During his time with his agency, he has served in many capacities to include Field Training Officer, DWI Officer, SFST Instructor, Drug Recognition Expert, Firearms Instructor, Defense Tactics Instructor, Taser Instructor, Community Outreach Supervisor, and most recently as the Commander of his department’s Special Investigation and Special Operations Divisions which includes the Vice, Narcotics, and Organized Crime Unit, Street Crimes Unit, Drone Program, Regional Bomb Squad Commander, SWAT Commander, and Crisis Negotiation Team Commander. His current role as Lieutenant overseeing the Professional Standards Bureau includes the Training Unit, Internal Affairs, Recruiting and Hiring, and Policy and Accreditation.
Clinton serves as an adjunct instructor at the regional police training academy where he has taught Constitutional Law, Crime Scene Processing, DWI, Courtroom Testimony and Crime Prevention and Community Policing for which he is the state recognized subject matter expert writing statewide curriculum for police academies. Clinton is also actively involved in teaching for the state’s Crisis Intervention Team Council on topics related to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
Clinton received his law degree from the University of Missouri- Columbia School of Law and serves as a JAG Officer in the Army National Guard.
