I have been in law enforcement for over 20 years and been a part of the criminal investigations division for 10 of them. I have seen many advanced trainings offered over the years for the topics of open source and social media investigations. This is a challenging course to teach and share with others especially for just being a one day class. I have to say Nick nailed it and shared many great resources with the class and they were very useful and the best part is what any agency and detective likes to hear and that they are free. When it comes to technology and social media it changes so much day to day and the trainings I had a few years ago have pretty much became antiquated, so attending this class brought me back up to date with the new social media applications and web pages available to use for investigations. Overall I do recommend for anyone involved in investigations or analysist positions to attend this class even if they have had other training on the same topic.
I did not realize how much more obtainable information was until I went to this class. I really enjoyed getting more tools for the toolbox.

Nick! I took your class last month and it was my first Blue to Gold class. I have to say that prior to coming to the class, I was in a slump in my career and had no direction. After seeing how energetic you were during class, it inspired me to try my luck with social media. Within two weeks, I was about to get four guns, and fetanyl off of our streets. I did internet crimes against children investigations 12 years ago. All the technology has changed. This was a fantastic class to get current tools, tips, and trends. Policing has become more technology based as criminals have started using social media and internet services.
One of the best classes I've been in, and I would highly recommend!
