DWI/DUI investigation continues to be a topic of argument across the United States.  The legalization of marijuana (recreationally or medicinally) leaves many officers feeling left behind in understanding drug impaired driving versus alcohol impaired driving.  How to interpret the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests with proper administration, the clues or indicators shown, and making that arrest or no arrest decision.  Ultimately writing a more detailed report to assist prosecutors with a successful conviction when the arrest decision has been made.

This eight-hour course will assist officers by building their confidence in identifying impaired drivers, regardless of the substance they are under the influence of.  Focusing on the three phases of DWI investigation:  Vehicle in motion, Personal contact, and Pre-arrest Screening.  Provide them with the skills necessary to improve their administration and interpretation of Standardized Field Sobriety Tests.  Taking the information gathered from those three phases of investigation and articulating it in a report.  This training is designed to give additional insight to impaired driving investigations and build upon the skills learned in the basic DWI Detection and Standardized Field Sobriety Testing provided in early training.  Information regarding medical conditions that may mimic drug impairment. An introduction to drug impaired driving and the seven drug categories provided by the NHTSA/IACP Drug Evaluation and Classification Program.  This course will not qualify an officer as a Drug Recognition Expert, nor be a replacement for the Advance Roadside Impaired Driving Enforcement course.

Blue to Good Law Enforcement Training is great all around from their training course to their customer service. I ordered a package book set and in the set they sent me one of the wrong books which I reached out about. Richard Bandiero immediately got back to me and sent out the correct book. Richard was extremely helpful and professional in a timely manner.

I attended the ND Southwest Crime Conference. The Conference was phenomenal. Anthony knew how to engage the classroom. All of the training he provided was by far the best training I have ever been to so far. Blue to Gold definitely knows their stuff and can possibly shape the way we do our jobs as modern police!
