Craig Meyer, Proactive Policing Instructor for Blue to Gold Law Enforcement Training, is an active duty police sergeant with more than a decade of law enforcement experience and a strong reputation for street level, result-driven policing. He began his career in New Jersey before transferring to Texas, where he currently serves with the Bryan Police Department. He is known for his lead from the front leadership style and his focus on helping officers use proactive policing tactics that are effective, lawful, and immediately applicable in the field.
During his time in Texas, Craig has been promoted to Sergeant and has held key leadership roles including Patrol Sergeant, Field Training Program Coordinator, and Tactical Response Team Leader. He supervises patrol operations, mentors officers, and oversees training and evaluation of probationary officers. His operational background includes proactive patrol, burglary suppression, traffic enforcement, and SWAT operations, with direct involvement in planning and leading high risk responses while ensuring tactics remain aligned with state law, federal case law, and best practices.
As an instructor, Craig has trained thousands of officers across North America and Canada in proactive policing concepts. He is widely recognized for his ability to break down criminal behavior, decision making, and human behavior in a way officers can quickly understand and apply on the street. Craig continues to actively work patrol and lead teams using the same proactive strategies he teaches, which gives his instruction credibility, relevance, and real world value to the officers he trains.
