Michael Smith is a prosecutor and legal instructor for Blue to Gold Law Enforcement Training. He has prosecuted thousands of felony cases, ranging from drug offenses to homicide. He currently specializes in prosecuting crimes against children.
Michael regularly lectures to law enforcement officers, attorneys, and judges across the United States on topics including search and seizure, courtroom testimony, report writing, advanced investigative techniques, traffic stops, interdiction, and civil asset forfeiture.
Prior to law school, Michael served in the United States Marine Corps for eight years, during which time he completed two combat tours of duty in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Michael’s education includes a bachelor’s degree in managerial finance and insurance from the University of Mississippi (“Ole Miss”). He also earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Mississippi School of Law and is a practicing member of the Mississippi Bar.
