Thomas Shea

Legal Instructor

Tom started his career with the Long Branch Police Department in 1998 after serving honorably in the United States Marine Corps during Operation Desert Storm. During his career, Tom served as a police commander and on the Monmouth County Emergency Response Team (SWAT). After retiring in February 2017, Tom entered academia. Tom presently serves as the Program Director of the Police Graduate Studies at Seton Hal University, an active shooter instructor for LSU/NCBRT, a resiliency instructor, and recently served as the Director of Safety and Security at a large school district in NJ. In addition, Tom serves as a private investigator and police/security expert consultant and witness.
