Sgt. Schultz has a bachelor's degree in criminal justice and psychology, which has helped immensely in the study of canine behavior. He started his career as a law enforcement officer in
Fairfax Virginia, before transferring to the York-Poquoson Sheriff's Office in 2004.

I recently attended the Idaho Police Canine Association conference in Idaho Falls, Idaho. I’m also on the IPCA board. Sgt. Brett Schultz came to instruct a day of Legal regarding K9 Units, which included general 4th Amendment concerns and Idaho-specific cases and concerns. We asked Blue to Gold to send an instructor fairly last minute due to unforeseen circumstances with our planned trainer. Because of this, I was a bit nervous that whichever instructor was assigned would not be up to date and well versed in Idaho-specific K9 case law (Idaho has had some real bummer cases in the past few years). I was highly impressed with Brett. Even with the short notice, he was very knowledgeable with Idaho cases, as well as national cases. It was very clear he knows his case law and was able to advise on best practices with K9 Units. He was able to give relevant background information, case decisions, and advice on how to still do real police work while working within the decisions of these cases. Brett was personable, knowledgeable, and an all around excellent instructor. It is very clear that his K9 experience has given him a lot of skill and he had no problem sharing any and all of that with us. He was even able to ask about department policies and incorporate those into a discussion with the legal updates and 4th Amendment issues. I am sure his full class would be an excellent resource for any K9 handler of any experience level and I look forward to attending more classes in the future thanks to Brett. I would recommend him for any training or conference. Officer Ally Greenhalgh Rexburg Police Department Rexburg, Idaho

Super relatable with him being a K9 guy and he simplified not only US case law, but Idaho case law as well. It was very beneficial for him to take the time to review some complicated incidents to help us as K9 handlers.

Did an amazing job. Explains the case law better and more understandable than most attorneys can. And he understands what being a K9 handler is all about because he is one. Definitely need him instructing more!

Blue to Good Law Enforcement Training is great all around from their training course to their customer service. I ordered a package book set and in the set they sent me one of the wrong books which I reached out about. Richard Bandiero immediately got back to me and sent out the correct book. Richard was extremely helpful and professional in a timely manner.

I attended the ND Southwest Crime Conference. The Conference was phenomenal. Anthony knew how to engage the classroom. All of the training he provided was by far the best training I have ever been to so far. Blue to Gold definitely knows their stuff and can possibly shape the way we do our jobs as modern police!
