Craig Meyer

Proactive Policing Instructor

Craig Meyer has been a certified Peace Officer since 2013. He began his career in Somerset County, New Jersey where he graduated the police academy and then worked for two different municipal police departments from 2013-2017. At the end of 2017, Meyer transferred to the State of Texas to work with a municipal police department.

Since transferring to Texas, Meyer has promoted to the role of Sergeant. During his time in Texas he has held the positions of Patrol Sergeant, Field Training Program Coordinator and SWAT Team Leader. Meyer stands behind his “lead from the front” mentality as a supervisor, prioritizes developing his people and believes in fulfilling his greater purpose of helping officers all over the country achieve success in employing proactive policing tactics.

As an instructor, Meyer has been credited by thousands of police officers across North America and Canada for having created a lecture based presentation that has successfully broken down and explained the human limbic system as it applies to behaviors commonly displayed by criminals, in a way that can be easily comprehended and then immediately applied at the street level by police officers for success. Meyer is still a proactive Sergeant and continues to employ the same tactics and training taught in class, in the field with his own team of officers.

This is by far the best class that I have taken for my career. Craig is a fantastic teacher and makes this course very enjoyable. Not even a day after completing this course, I have already observed all of these behaviors on the road! Even got 2.4g of fentanyl off a stop while given consent from tips he mentioned in this course. You are doing yourself a disservice by not taking this.

Why Isnt This Being Taught at At Academy Level Amazing class. Humble Instructor. This class really highlights trends, behaviors, and tactics officers need to be aware of and utilizing at all times. Hopefully i’ll get to take it in person one day. Worth the money to have access to this plethora of information.

I really appreciated how Craig, the instructor, brought science into the discussion, especially when he touched on the sympathetic nervous system and its role in policing. It’s not something you often hear about, but it made a lot of sense when he explained how understanding this can improve how officers respond in high-stress situations. What stood out the most was how Craig didn’t just talk about these concepts—he showed us how they’re being applied in his own department. He used bodycam footage from his team to demonstrate that these strategies aren’t just theories; they actually work. Seeing real-world examples of these techniques in action was both reassuring and inspiring. Overall, I found the course incredibly valuable. It was a great mix of scientific insight and practical application, showing how proactive policing can be more effective when backed by an understanding of human behavior.

Hands down one of the best trainings B2G has featured. The amount of valuable content Craig has packed into this course is impressive. These eight hours of training flew by and I couldn’t get enough. For Officers wanting to be proactive and keep their lives in the process of arresting hard criminals, this class is a must have. Craig breaks down foundational elements to beat cop work that will not only save your life but make you a master of proactive patrol work.

You’ll come away motivated and hyped to go be a proactive cop no matter how many years you have on. Sgt. Meyer does a great job breaking down a ton of videos. Seeing this behavior will become second nature. Best class I’ve ever taken. Thank you Sgt. Meyer!

I took Craig Meyer’s class before he became part of Blue to Gold, and I have to say it has significantly improved my game. After taking his class, I started recognizing clusters of indicators and began to see better results during my stops. For those whose agencies won’t invest in their training, you need to invest in yourself. The only way to become successful in this career is to take the initiative. Don’t wait for someone else to do it for you. I highly recommend Craig’s class.

Who knew it was physically possible to cram such a wealth of information into a 1 hour block? Great info, love the videos to demonstrate the topics discussed and looking forward to taking the full on-demand version soon. Thank you Craig and the BTG team for this awesome webinar!

Instructor's appearance, attitude and command of the topic give him the credibility I am looking for out of an instructor. So many courses are taught from a book by someone that's had limited experience on the road. Bravo! I will be a part of the live course.

This mini course gets down to the very basis of criminal behavior and what we need to look for to intercept criminals and make our communities safer. Craig is an amazing instructor and his presentation is on par! I would recommend this class from patrol to investigations.

I have taken several proactive policing courses and Craig's class is the best out there. It was the best when he was with his last company, and its even better with Blue to Gold. Its been refined and organized since then. He explains everything well and shows you real life examples over and over. When you complete this class, you will see what you have been overlooking all this time. This also includes indicators of dangerous intentions. There is no other class I have seen that offers this quality of content on the subject of criminal interdiction. It will make you a better cop and could save lives.
