Blair Wardle

Attorney - Legal Instructor

Blair Tal Wardle, Attorney and Legal Instructor for Blue to Gold Law Enforcement Training, brings deep prosecutorial experience to his work helping law enforcement officers navigate the complexities of search and seizure under the Fourth Amendment. He is an honors graduate of law school and has spent his career on the prosecution side of the courtroom, where the consequences of constitutional missteps play out in real cases with real outcomes. That prosecutorial vantage point shapes everything about how he teaches — not from a theoretical framework, but from firsthand knowledge of how search and seizure errors surface in case files, suppression hearings, and lost prosecutions.

He currently serves as Chief Deputy Attorney for Box Elder County, Utah, a position he has held since 2012, and concurrently serves as a contract prosecutor for multiple jurisdictions across the state. Over the course of his career he has handled a wide range of felony and misdemeanor prosecutions, developed deep expertise in victims’ rights law, and earned repeated recognition as Prosecutor of the Year — a reflection of both his courtroom skill and his commitment to justice. He lectures nationwide, bringing officers the kind of practical, prosecution-informed perspective that goes beyond what the law says and into what it actually costs when something goes wrong in the field.

What sets Blair apart is his ability to identify the unseen pitfalls — the patterns prosecutors recognize immediately but that officers rarely get direct feedback on until it is too late. Agencies value his candid, practical teaching style and his ability to translate years of courtroom experience into clear, actionable guidance that helps officers build stronger cases from the first moment of contact.
