Jake Bigelow is a versatile law enforcement professional with a diverse background in criminal justice and emergency medical services. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice Administration from Columbia Southern University and an Associate of Applied Science in Emergency Medical Services/Paramedicine, establishing a strong foundation for his career.
With over two decades of experience in public safety and the US military, Jake has served in a variety of roles, including Sergeant, Master Police Officer, Patrol Training Officer, Special Agent/Task Force Officer, Police Officer, Paramedic, Reserve Police Officer, and Military Police Officer. As a Special Agent/Task Force Officer with the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation, he focused primarily on narcotics investigations, as well as major crimes and officer-involved shootings.
Jake’s commitment to excellence is evident through an extensive list of certifications, ranging from basic law enforcement to specialized skills such as Remote Pilot and Drug Recognition Expert. His leadership has been recognized with numerous accolades, including the Distinguished Service Medal with Valor, Officer of the Year, and Training Officer of the Year.
Beyond his operational duties, Jake has played a key role in advancing law enforcement training. He leads search and seizure training initiatives for his department and has overseen sUAS (drone) operations, helping enhance tactical and investigative capabilities. Now serving as a Sergeant in patrol, he continues to mentor officers, enforce best practices, and contribute to the ongoing development of his agency.
