Jake Bigelow is a versatile law enforcement professional with a diverse background in criminal justice and emergency medical services. Graduating from Columbia Southern University with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice Administration and an Associates of Applied Science in Emergency Medical Services/Paramedicine, he laid a solid foundation for his career.
With extensive experience spanning over two decades, Jake has served in various roles including Master Police Officer, Patrol Training Officer, Special Agent, Task Force Officer, Police Officer, Paramedic, Reserve Police Officer, and Military Police Officer. His commitment to excellence is evident through a multitude of certifications ranging from basic law enforcement to specialized skills such as Remote Pilot and Drug Recognition Expert.
Jake’s dedication extends beyond his regular duties, as he has been recognized with numerous awards including the Distinguished Service Medal with Valor and the Officer of the Year. He has also spearheaded significant projects such as overseeing his agency’s sUAS team for drone operations and leading the department’s search and seizure training initiatives. Through his leadership and expertise, Jake continues to make impactful contributions to law enforcement and emergency response efforts.
Mr. Biggs recently taught the advanced search and seizure class in Gillette, WY and as a whole, I think the common opinion of Mr Biggs was "wow, he can teach, and this class is entertaining, informative, and he's a really cool guy." He gave ample examples, was clearly knowledgeable on the subjects and super thorough. He gained everybody's respect in a matter of minutes and I think from here on out we will all think back to this class and what Mr. Biggs taught us throughout our careers. It is rare to find people who are passionate for what they do and that care and especially who can teach the subject well. You have a great instructor and he needed credit where credits was due!
