I am in Alaska and the area where I work covers 187 highway miles, with 4 communities. I frequently work solo with the nearest unit on duty 150 miles away. With that said the behavior identification is important. Some of the ideas with 2 officer contact I have to modify to be able to safely work the situation. The specific title of the behavior is helpful in articulating the behavior.

Excellent Course. I have attended an inhouse Street Cop Training Course, which contained some similar information. However I found that this particular course was superior in the tone and disbursement of that information. I feel like this course not only refreshed me up on skills sets but also showed even more such as the tactics for foot patrol. As a Lieutenant at my department I know that I will be recommending this course for all of the officers on my shift because if they take it seriously and go out and try to look for the highlighted behaviors they will be able to get results.

Everyone needs this class. I’ve taken other proactive patrol classes and it’s the same thing. Always what to look for but never why criminals react that way. Craig Meyer does a great job at explaining the why which helps a lot in court.

I watched half of your class on a detail I was working on and then the next night went in on my normal shift. That night on my shift I stopped 3 cars total. The first car I stopped I got was a guy with a 13 year old active warrant from a neighboring county.  While speaking with him he said he had been living in the area for nine years and no one has ever stopped him. The third car I stopped I ended up developing a PC for and got a possession of cocaine and meth as well as a violation of probation. Since I have taken and finished the course I have been finding more crime mainly on the lower level but the reaction and behaviors are very interesting. Just wanted to say thank you, at the agency I work at there is an expectation for proactive police work but no one truly shows you what to look for. I was considering leaving the profession and I truly believe that this course has saved my career.  Thank you.

I am about to hit my 3 year mark in law enforcement. I used to just stop everything and drive an unmarked unit. Now I have begun to be more selective with my stops and switched to a marked unit. I was only a few modules in the other day when I had a stop with a cluster of behaviors. I ended up flipping my driver on misdemeanor charges for information on drug dealers, and I know that is just the tip of what is to come. The new guy on my shift was my backup and he was amazed at what he watched, and now he wants to learn. I think of all the times I saw these behaviors and let them go because I had no idea what I was looking at or how to articulate it to those who also did not understand. I can confidently say I feel much stronger in my enforcement, lengthening the detention by building RAS through behaviors, articulating what I'm seeing, and getting more quality arrests. I can't recommend this course enough, I can't wait to take it in person in February. In a world of chess versus checkers, this is a grandmaster class.

Why Isnt This Being Taught at At Academy Level Amazing class. Humble Instructor. This class really highlights trends, behaviors, and tactics officers need to be aware of and utilizing at all times. Hopefully i’ll get to take it in person one day. Worth the money to have access to this plethora of information.

I really appreciated how Craig, the instructor, brought science into the discussion, especially when he touched on the sympathetic nervous system and its role in policing. This is by far one of the best patrol-oriented trainings I've received. I took the on-demand course (online). At first, I was hesitant because I've taken other online courses from different companies and they kinda… sucked. But man, am I glad I took this class. It was like I was sitting in the actual class. Craig does an excellent job explaining everything and has a plethora of videos to show a step-by-step process. The tactics and methods on identifying behavior have ultimately changed the way that Im proactive. I can't unsee these things now and it feels so good seeing all the behaviors that were taught cause you KNOW you have something good. Its awesome. I strongly recommend taking this course. You'll learn a lot.

While this is a very fast paced course it’s digestible. It’s helpful that you have a month to watch the webinar. The knowledge ive taken away i am sure will change my career trajectory.

Great short course to drive home observing behaviors. I would recommend this course as a refresher for well-trained cops and a must for new cops. Combine this with courses that are safety oriented, we could really save a lot of cops lives.

I've been an officer for 12 years, This by far is the best training I have ever received! I now have more clarity, confidence, and courage to perform my duties as a officer. Just good street cop skills and how to apply and articulate them!

The information provided is great for new officers trying to find ways to be confident in their proactive work. It is also a great refresher and reminder to experienced officers that may overlook those basics!

The course builds a strong foundation for the basis of stops and makes me really want to take the deep dive into the behavior of individuals outside of their pre-stop movements and actions.

I'll approach curtilage with a newfound appreciation and always bring my C.R.E.W. With me.

Mr. Biggs recently taught the advanced search and seizure class in Gillette, WY and as a whole I think the common opinion of Mr Biggs was "wow, he can teach, and this class is entertaining, informative, and he's a really cool guy." He gave ample examples, was clearly knowledgeable on the subjects and super thorough. He gained everybody's respect in a matter of minutes and I think from here on out we will all think back to this class and what Mr. Biggs taught us throughout our careers. It is rare to find people who are passionate for what they do and that care and especially who can teach the subject well. You have a great instructor and he needed credit where credits was due!

The presentation was amazing and brought boring case law down to a level that was both fun and educational. To see a Lawyer Skipping around the classroom was top-notch, well done BlueToGold!

The Search and Seizure class was amazing and I wish this class and the information that was covered was apart of my academy training. I have a more fluid understanding now then before taking the class.

The course was great because of all the case law review and application to real world scenarios, including those offered by the class. It’s nice to confirm our authority in some grey areas as well as to see how small difference in details can make otherwise similar situations vastly different when it comes to constitutional violations or not.

I really appreciate the level of knowledge and passion they share in the Advanced Search and Seizure course. I believe this course gives me the tools and training to be successful in my day to day work that is not available to me at my current agency.

The advanced search and seizure class was what I needed, especially as a young cop, to sharpen my decision-making and help me build confidence in the actions I'm taking while working the road.

I recently had the opportunity to attend the search and seizure class, and I must say it was an eye-opening experience. As a supervisor, I found this course invaluable in providing new insights on how to ensure our deputies respect and uphold individuals’ civil rights during law enforcement activities. I firmly believe that this class should be a fundamental part of every deputy’s training within the first year of their career. The instructor’s expertise and teaching style were exceptional. Not only was he highly knowledgeable about the subject matter, but he also managed to make the learning process engaging and entertaining. His approach to the topic kept the class both informative and enjoyable.

Advanced Search and Seizure Course was very informative with updated case law. Instructor was super knowledgeable and did a great job with presentations, videos, and thought provoking conversations.

This is probably the best training I have ever attended regarding search and seizure. It should be a must for anyone working patrol, narcotics or general investigations.

Great class helps us make better decisions. Should be mandated for all cops. Helps make sure we are doing our job correctly within the confounds of the law

This was an excellent class! I have sat through many search and seizure classes and this out did them all. The instructor kept the attention of the class and made it very easy to learn.

I think the quality of the class was good and went in depth with Case Law backed material. Instructor was wonderful and communicated. Questions were answered and attention to students was great. I would've liked a little information on potential issues regarding data and computer/phone devices.

After being out of Law Enforcement for 6 years I am learning a lot of recent case law that has changed the way we do things. Great class.

Search and seizure class is great. Lots of time spent explaining boundaries and answering questions.

Most legal updates are boring and dry, and death by PowerPoint. John kept me focused, and presented the material appropriately. It was a good refresher, and answered questions I had.

It was engaging environment to learn. It was great overview of case law, and pertinent Colorado specific case law.

I've always loved Blue to Gold's videos and free classes. I got into them because Bandiero used to work at my agency. I read Nevada Search and Seizure cover to cover a couple times and scored top for detective testing out of around 12 people. Not a lot for most agencies but still significant for us. I attribute that scoring to Blue to Gold's book. I constantly am loaning out my books to people who want to advance themselves and encourage everyone else to get them too. They are a cops biggest tool for in the field and career development. The instructor for this class is super knowledgeable and being that he used to be a cop, makes him relatable to us. Not just some attorney. Online training is tough but he and his team are doing a great job addressing questions from in person and online students.

Advanced search and seizure was a very good class for patrol officers. We went over case law pertinent to the jobs. I will be re-teaching some of this material to new officers in FTO.

I just completed the Blue to Gold Traffic Stop and Arrest, Search, and Seizure course at my agency. What an absolutely phenomenonal course. I have learned more in the past two days than I did in my Police Academy. The course content was extremely applicable to our daily tasks on the street. I highly recommend these courses and look forward to taking many more in the near future! Thank you Chris McFarlin!

LOVED IT! Amazing class, good explanations and examples.

The course is great, but if a K9 handler is only interested in seeing the information associated with Use of Force and Patrol K9s you cannot skip ahead. Of course I understand the course will not be completed and you cannot get a certificate etc if you do not watch all of the videos. But I purchased the course specifically for that chapter and there is no option to jump ahead without a review of search/seizure/and a bunch of detection dog case law. While interesting, irrelevant to patrol K9 use of force case law questions.

I am new to the K9 world and recently got a K9. This course covered everything you need to know about case law and provided many examples. I highly recommend this course to any new officer or seasoned one who needs a nice refresher.

This is more than just a K9 case law class! It covers every word of the 4th Amendment in detail! This class will give you a whole new look on search and seizure and case law to support the information given to you. This class contains great information for new K-9 handlers, but also great information if you are not a K-9 handler. Having a hard time articulating R.S. to hold a person for a K9 on a traffic stop? Look no farther for training, and take this class!

I thought this was great. I've only been a handler for six months and while my K9 school was awesome for the hands-on portion this course really closed the loop on the legal and administrative aspects. I very much enjoyed the course and I highly recommend it!

I have taken several in-person trainings and online through Blue to Gold. All the classes are extremely beneficial and contain the information needed. Great job and keep up the great work. I look forward to future trainings and I make sure to spread the word with my agency and others about the benefits.
