I had the pleasure of being taught by John from Blue to Gold during a recent training session held in Greer, South Carolina. He covered several critical topics, including Report Writing, Search and Seizure, and Courtroom Testimony. John's extensive knowledge and expertise were evident throughout the course. I particularly enjoyed his sessions on courtroom testimony, which were enriched with new material from a recent national court case, providing us with up-to-date and relevant insights. What truly stood out was John's dedication to the officers in the class. He was always willing to take the time to answer questions, even those that were off-topic, ensuring that we fully understood the subject matter. His approachable demeanor and willingness to go the extra mile made the learning experience both informative and enjoyable. I took Advanced Search and Seizure and Advanced Traffic Stops with John. As we all know, Washington state is very restrictive with police affairs. John dove deep into case law to provide Officers with more tools, and dispel commonly accepted beliefs regarding WA laws. And he did so in a fun and captivating manner. You can tell that John is knowledgeable and passionate about his job. Every self-respected LEO needs to take these courses — even the salty vets who may think they know it all. Thanks again John. I enjoy all Blue to Gold trainings I have taken. Switching from one circuit to another can be confusing, this class helps me understand Search and Seizure as it applies to federal law, not just common practice.

Kept the class engaged and was able to connect on an LEO level due to his prior LEO experience. It was surprisingly top notch and educational training that I expected to be outright boring.

I attended the advanced search and seizure course with John Wiehn. He did a great job explaining different case laws to us and making sure we had an understanding of everything he was teaching us. Every law enforcement professional should take this course. We are all one call away from being case law ourselves and this course will protect you from that. Even though John is an attorney he keeps the class interesting and encourages questions as he was a cop himself not that long ago.

Being in law enforcement for 10 years and still having so many questions makes me wish I had access to or knew about this training earlier on, however I am grateful that I had the chance to take these courses! The topics are clear and relevant, the instructor (John) was relatable, funny, and extremely knowledgeable, and he was able to answer any outstanding questions I had. I am much more confident in these areas and have a greater understanding of the legal responsibilities I have in this profession and am very grateful that this training is available! VERY highly recommended!
Advanced Traffic Stops This course had great content and a breakdown of legal theories. The case law references were applicable and backed the topics covered. Our instructor, John, is very knowledgeable and entertaining.
Advanced criminal investigations, as part of my job I evaluate curriculum and instructional materials, this is a nearly flawless way to present this, John Wiehn has mastered the art of edutainment.

I really enjoyed what the class had to offer. The report writing classes I’ve had are no more than 2 hours long and this was really in-depth. This class also explained the legality side of how your report can cause you to have a hard day in court. I learned a ton and hope to share everything I learned with my agency and fellow Deputies. John was also very knowledgeable and made a report writing class entertaining! I would recommend the classes and knowledge Blue to Gold has to offer to every agency in the U.S.!

This class contains great information for new K-9 handlers, but also great information if you are not a K-9 handler. Having a hard time articulating R.S. to hold a person for a K9 on a traffic stop? Look no farther for training, and take this class!
I thought this was great. I've only been a handler for six months and while my K9 school was awesome for the hands-on portion this course really closed the loop on the legal and administrative aspects. I very much enjoyed the course and I highly recommend it!
I have taken several in-person trainings and online through Blue to Gold. All the classes are extremely beneficial and contain the information needed. Great job and keep up the great work.
