I'm not much of a review-writing guy. But this class, and the instructor (Det. Zaki H.) were simply top notch. In my 13 years of attending yearly legal updates, I got used to (and was expecting) another boring class. Not this one. Det. Zaki was very energetic and enthusiastic about the material. He set the tone early on encouraging officers to participate, ask questions, and not leaving the class if they had lingering questions. Blue to Gold is by far one of the best training companies out there. I can't recommend this class enough. If you're a cop in Ohio, you should take the class with Det. Zaki who is an Ohio cop himself. A+ class. A+ instructor.

Our Advanced Search and Seizure training is designed to equip officers with the knowledge and skills they need to independently analyze and solve Fourth Amendment problems, leading to a reduction in lawsuits and the ability to establish good case law. By the end of this course, students will have a solid understanding of when the Fourth Amendment applies, the requirement of consent, recognized exceptions, and the necessity of a warrant for every search or seizure. (course was taken 5/24). The course was well presented and clearly articulated the material in a manner such that I could work patrol tonight and put the lessons learned into practice. I'll approach curtilage with a newfound appreciation and always bring my C.R.E.W. With me.

Mr. Biggs recently taught the advanced search and seizure class in Gillette, WY and as a whole I think the common opinion of Mr Biggs was "wow, he can teach, and this class is entertaining, informative, and he's a really cool guy." He gave ample examples, was clearly knowledgeable on the subjects and super thorough. He gained everybody's respect in a matter of minutes and I think from here on out we will all think back to this class and what Mr. Biggs taught us throughout our careers. It is rare to find people who are passionate for what they do and that care and especially who can teach the subject well. You have a great instructor and he needed credit where credits was due!

I attended the 8-hour Advanced Search and Seizure class in person. I have attended a lot of outside training and this class was by far the best class I have ever taken. This is one of the best if not the best and most entertaining search and seizure classes I have attended through the years. Makes me want to look at other training courses that are offered.
The class is very informative and something all law enforcement agencies should have. I would prefer the class be expanded to maybe two days so a lot more discussion could happen and more information broke down. Overall would recommend the class to any LE officer.
Great class. Refines case law into understandable patterns that can be easily applied. Gives the ability the think through the sequences of events to dictate the correct course of action.

Attended the Search and Seizure class in Brighton, CO. This is hands down the best legal training I’ve gotten in 15+ years on Law Enforcement. I feel veteran officers would benefit greatly, as I have, by attending this class.
Advanced Search and Seizure: the course and instructor were excellent. I’m a self-proclaimed 4th Amendment nerd and place a high value on protecting peoples’ rights. This class gave me a better understanding of some case law I did not have confidence in. In this profession, you need to know the “why” behind your action or inaction and if you are unsure about where your legal authority begins and ends, I recommend this course. Do not trust the old-timers in your agency that have been around for decades. Know current case law and trust yourself and your education. This course is awesome.

The Search and Seizure class was amazing and I wish this class and the information that was covered was apart of my academy training. I have a more fluid understanding now then before taking the class.
The course was great because of all the case law review and application to real world scenarios, including those offered by the class. It’s nice to confirm our authority in some grey areas as well as to see how small difference in details can make otherwise similar situations vastly different when it comes to constitutional violations or not.
I really appreciate the level of knowledge and passion they share in the Advanced Search and Seizure course. I believe this course gives me the tools and training to be successful in my day to day work that is not available to me at my current agency.

As a supervisor, I found this course invaluable in providing new insights on how to ensure our deputies respect and uphold individuals’ civil rights during law enforcement activities. I firmly believe that this class should be a fundamental part of every deputy’s training within the first year of their career. The instructor’s expertise and teaching style were exceptional. Not only was he highly knowledgeable about the subject matter, but he also managed to make the learning process engaging and entertaining. This was an excellent class! I have sat through many search and seizure classes and this out did them all. The instructor kept the attention of the class and made it very easy to learn.
I think the quality of the class was good and went in depth with Case Law backed material. Instructor was wonderful and communicated. Questions were answered and attention to students was great. I would've liked a little information on potential issues regarding data and computer/phone devices.

Search and seizure class is great. Lots of time spent explaining boundaries and answering questions.
Most legal updates are boring and dry, and death by PowerPoint. John kept me focused, and presented the material appropriately. It was a good refresher, and answered questions I had.
It was engaging environment to learn. It was great overview of case law, and pertinent Colorado specific case law.
I've always loved Blue to Gold's videos and free classes. I got into them because Bandiero used to work at my agency. I read Nevada Search and Seizure cover to cover a couple times and scored top for detective testing out of around 12 people. Not a lot for most agencies but still significant for us. I attribute that scoring to Blue to Gold's book. I constantly am loaning out my books to people who want to advance themselves and encourage everyone else to get them too. They are a cops biggest tool for in the field and career development. The instructor for this class is super knowledgeable and being that he used to be a cop, makes him relatable to us. Not just some attorney. Online training is tough but he and his team are doing a great job addressing questions from in person and online students.

Advanced search and seizure was a very good class for patrol officers. We went over case law pertinent to the jobs. I will be re-teaching some of this material to new officers in FTO.
I just completed the Blue to Gold Traffic Stop and Arrest, Search, and Seizure course at my agency. What an absolutely phenomenonal course. I have learned more in the past two days than I did in my Police Academy. The course content was extremely applicable to our daily tasks on the street. This course does a great job on expanding basic knowledge on traffic stop legality. Great breakdown of legal points involving traffic stops. The case law associated with each module is a great touch.
