Honestly I was not looking forward to this class. I dreaded having to drive up here and sit through someone drone on and on about things that are old and outdated. I was pleasantly surprised by this class and it’s primarily due to the instructor. Great job way to catch my interest and hopefully we keep this momentum for the next few days
His explanation of cartilage is the best one I have heard so far. His explanations are simple and easy to digest.

Our Advanced Search and Seizure training is designed to equip officers with the knowledge and skills they need to independently analyze and solve Fourth Amendment problems, leading to a reduction in lawsuits and the ability to establish good case law. By the end of this course, students will have a solid understanding of when the Fourth Amendment applies, the requirement of consent, recognized exceptions, and the necessity of a warrant for every search or seizure.

Mr. Biggs recently taught the advanced search and seizure class in Gillette, WY and as a whole I think the common opinion of Mr Biggs was "wow, he can teach, and this class is entertaining, informative, and he's a really cool guy." He gave ample examples, was clearly knowledgeable on the subjects and super thorough. He gained everybody's respect in a matter of minutes and I think from here on out we will all think back to this class and what Mr. Biggs taught us throughout our careers. It is rare to find people who are passionate for what they do and that care and especially who can teach the subject well. You have a great instructor and he needed credit where credits was due!

In this profession, you need to know the “why” behind your action or inaction and if you are unsure about where your legal authority begins and ends, I recommend this course. I completed the Advance Search and Seizure online training. I enjoyed the course, and learned a lot of helpful tips. The course was informative and provided a lot of real world examples and explanations. I would recommend this course and instructor to others in my department.
Advanced Search and Seizure Class was great! As a new officer, it helped solidify concepts I was taught, taught me new ways to approach problems, taught me concepts and case law I had never heard of and made me feel like a better asset to my agency.

The Search and Seizure class was amazing and I wish this class and the information that was covered was apart of my academy training. I have a more fluid understanding now then before taking the class.
The course was great because of all the case law review and application to real world scenarios, including those offered by the class. It’s nice to confirm our authority in some grey areas as well as to see how small difference in details can make otherwise similar situations vastly different when it comes to constitutional violations or not.

As a supervisor, I found this course invaluable in providing new insights on how to ensure our deputies respect and uphold individuals’ civil rights during law enforcement activities. I firmly believe that this class should be a fundamental part of every deputy’s training within the first year of their career. The instructor’s expertise and teaching style were exceptional. Not only was he highly knowledgeable about the subject matter, but he also managed to make the learning process engaging and entertaining. Search and seizure class is great. Lots of time spent explaining boundaries and answering questions.
Most legal updates are boring and dry, and death by PowerPoint. John kept me focused, and presented the material appropriately. It was a good refresher, and answered questions I had.
It was engaging environment to learn. It was great overview of case law, and pertinent Colorado specific case law.
I've always loved Blue to Gold's videos and free classes. I got into them because Bandiero used to work at my agency. I read Nevada Search and Seizure cover to cover a couple times and scored top for detective testing out of around 12 people. Not a lot for most agencies but still significant for us. I attribute that scoring to Blue to Gold's book. I constantly am loaning out my books to people who want to advance themselves and encourage everyone else to get them too. They are a cops biggest tool for in the field and career development. The instructor for this class is super knowledgeable and being that he used to be a cop, makes him relatable to us. Not just some attorney. Online training is tough but he and his team are doing a great job addressing questions from in person and online students.

Great course. This was very informative.
I've been in law enforcement for 9 years now, spending the last few as an investigator. What these Blue to Gold courses are teaching me is that LEOs should be getting far more training on the law and how it can work in their favor. It's taken me this long to learn how to properly apply Miranda yet ensure that application does not destroy my investigation. Same goes for search and seizure. LEOs should be just as up to speed on case law as our DAs. This was a great course!

Amazing course. The instructor provides many details over subjects that are routine in everyday law enforcement and should be considered "Basic knowledge." but explains each topic in ways that help officers actually understand the legal reasons why they can/can't do something.
This course really enlightened me and I learned a lot of small tidbits that will help me out on the streets.

As a newer officer, this lesson answered many questions for me. Some of the information given (with case law to support) even corrects what some of my senior officers have told me is illegal (not against policy, but illegal). I would HIGHLY recommend this class to any offclicer - new, through Admin.

This 8-hour class is amazing. It is broken down into different lessons and each lesson was very informative and included case law, video break-downs/discussions and real-life scenarios. This class also has assessments after the lessons to keep the learner engaged in the class. This class is very informative and all encompassing on topics like, single purpose container doctrine, collective knowledge doctrine, how to improve your undercover investigations, use of CI's, and much more!

I just completed a two-day training in Advanced Search and Seizure and Advanced Criminal Investigations in Jackson, WY. This was by far the most entertaining and knowledgeable training I have attended in my short three years of Law Enforcement. Anthony Bandiero is very intelligent and I hope more law enforcement agencies seek him out to expand their knowledge.

This intense (but fun) five-day course provides the deep legal knowledge, instructional skill, and real-world application necessary to teach search and seizure topics with confidence. Participants review foundational doctrines and then move into advanced concepts, including privacy principles, seizures, warrants, exceptions, technology-driven searches, and high-risk liability areas. Using the Blue to Gold teaching model, students learn how to break down complex case law so that officers can apply it correctly in the field. CSSI candidates also practice teaching through structured modules and “teach-back” sessions while receiving coaching on delivery, articulation, and accuracy. Graduates gain access to exclusive instructor tools, a CSSI-only forum, mini-course modules for agency training, and a one-year subscription to the Legal Training Hotline for real-time guidance on difficult legal questions. After taking the CSSI course, I probably won't take another class in the live online format like this again. The combination of an in-person class and online class made it hard to interact with the instructor effectively. Given the time provided and the vast amount of information, it seemed as if the in-person attendees had the opportunity to explore more ideas than the online folks. I was anticipating the live online to be a Zoom meeting with the instructor only speaking to the students in the Zoom call. As someone that paid for this training out of their own pocket, I was hoping for more interaction and overall better experience. As for the information provided in the course, I was impressed with the knowledge I gained in 16 hours. However, I was let down when I found, according to the syllabus, we missed modules. As someone that has to pay for training out of their own pocket, I prefer to go over on time and learn more. We did not cover Module two sections 2-8, all of module five and seven.
Definitely job related material! The course was very well organized and easy to understand. I would highly recommend to all police officers charged with conducting any sort of investigation.
Before taking this course, I thought I had a good knowledge of case law, but after taking this course, I realized that I fell short. Thank you to Blue to Gold for developing this course. It should be a must for all LEO instructors, and anybody that wants an advance knowledge regarding case law, and how it applies to our career field.

The exam was a lot more tricky than, I anticipated. Some of the questions, my notes conflicted with what the test answers were. At the end of the day, I passed and now a certified search and seizure instructor.

This is a review of the entire week not just the CSSI portion. Anthony engaged the class throughout the week even though it was virtual. Shared a lot of information and had case law to support it not just an interpretation. Gave tons of resources to utilize after the class.
An in-depth dive into all aspects of Fourth Amendment. The Instructor is brilliant in his craft and energizes the students, making for a very interactive class.
Anthony did a great job of explaining everything to help me feel more confident if my search and seizure abilities. He provided all the resources I need to become a resident expert at my department and has great insight.
This course though it had a lot of material, it was all presented in a thorough but easy to understand method and was enjoyable for the whole week. I look forward to taking more courses. Best legal course I have been to. Not only do I feel better about my job but this training has definitely given me the tools to help guide LEOs in the complex world of search and seizure.
The test is comprehensive and, unlike a majority of LE training course exams, challenging in regards to the application of the materials covered through the per-requisites and the instructor course.
The absolute best search and seizure training. 24 hours of advanced training, case reviews and table-top scenarios followed by 16 hours of instructor development, complicated case breakdowns and the best part, Anthony teaches you how to read and breakdown cases. I used to look at cases and go cross-eyed. Now I can pick out the constitutional issues, break them down and write an intelligent case summary. The exam is no joke, detailed asking the real questions about the most important cases and scenarios where you determine the constitutional issues. This is well put together and thorough. I would compare the level of detail in this course to a DRE program, it is that complete. I will continue to return to Anthony and the Blue to Gold Team for all my Search and Seizure training.

Outstanding class and you will definitely leave this class knowing more. This class will make you a better officer. If you have the chance to take this class (even on your own dime), do not hesitate to take this class.

Great Course for instructors
This was one of the best series of courses I have taken in my 13 year career. I cannot emphasize enough how great Anne was as an instructor. We kept her late through lunch, at the end of the day, asking her so many questions. We sometimes asked her the same question multiple times and it never bothered her, she was so willing to share. This will likely become the basis of our departments search and seizure training moving forward.
This class is the most informative class I have ever taken. The instructors really know their stuff and know how to teach it the way you will remember. I wish I would have taken this class 10 years ago when I first got into law Enforcement. I look forward to paying it forward to my fellow officers.

The prerequisites, Advanced Search and Seizure, Advanced Traffic Stops and Advanced Criminal Investigation are the training all Law Enforcement should have to answer the "why" in much of what we do. Blue to Gold then expands further on this with CSSI. John Wiehn had an unmeasurable ability to make the content entertaining and palatable. I couldn't have imagined a better training for the intended purpose.
This should be the legal standards for law enforcement.
